Florence is one of my favorite beach towns aside from the fact most of the town is based around dunes rather than water. But lots of eclectic shops and experiences along with friendly, diverse locals.

Wish we had more time to explore more galleries and restaurants. Florence is a great place to stop if traveling through, close to the carnivorous plant park, sea lion caves, genera head lighthouse and the Oregon Dunes. Don't rush it.

I'm originally from a community south of Florence, but when I want to "get out of the valley", I always head to Florence. Great shopping and restaurants.

Check out Spin Reels ATV and Dune Buggy rentals for a fun time on the dunes!! A bit pricey but if you haven't done it yet, you should.

Take a ride on the one hour sand rail tour. It's great family fun! As of June 2024 it was $20 per adult.

Florence is lovely with a slower pace, nice wide streets with sidewalks. User friendly town.

Amazing beaches. Dune Buggy rides, highly recommended. Old town was fun.
"We were referred to this B & B from another couple. It was everything they said and more. We enjoyed sitting on front porch (blankets provided) watching birds listening to ocean.
Breakfeast was great, and nice conversation with other guests. My wife really relaxed. Also enjoyed wine and cheese upon arrival 4:30 to 5:30."
