Mt. Rushmore is INCREDIBLE! We also enjoyed the shops in the tourist village of Keystone. It's also not a far drive to Rapid City, which is a growing, interesting city. We enjoyed our visit to Keystone and the Black Hills!

The people I spoke with in Keystone were incredibly nice. Great folks, but the only problem is that Keystone operates on the whims of tourists. That meant that in February, at least 90% of the town was closed.

Mount Rushmore illumination ceremony is a must see & do. Crazy Horse Memorial was amazing. Badlands National Park was great to see but even better to hike some of the trails near the Northeast Entrance.

Lovely little town. Nice restaurants and only 2 miles from Mount Rushmore. Short distance from Custer Park where we spent 8 hours. Beautiful drive up needle highway to the lake.

Don't go the week before the Sturgis motorcycle rally or the week of the rally. As we progressed through our stay the bikers arrived in droves and overwhelmed the place. They weren't disrespectful but it was loud and crowded.

Keystone makes tourist traps look fair. This area has either monetized every resource it has or is on the way to do so. If I were to do it again, I would steer clear of Keystone other than to enjoy the attractions.

Keystone is, without a doubt, a tourist town. I was there during the off-season, but I wouldn't hesitate to visit during the edge of tourist season when more local businesses are open and the weather is warmer.
"Nice place to stay. We were there during the motorcycle rally. Things were busy and the staff seemed to be tired. They got things done though. The place has been upgraded from the last time I stayed there. The information online doesn't seem to correctly depict the property. I'm glad we chose this hotel. Would defiantly stay again."
"What a fun experience it is to stay here. You really get to staying in a cabin feel but have an updated nice bathroom. All wooden inside, smells like a cabin, but still quiet and well air conditioned. This facility was well maintained and the restaurant is wonderful. "
"Fantastic location with great staff, wonderful rooms, overall, wonderful breakfast, and facilities in super condition! Thank you so much! Only comments to make it even better would be for a soft closing lid on the toilet and to clean the vent in the bathroom to rid the dust. "
"The hotel is great, quiet and friendly staff. We came during a busy bike week so it makes everything so busy and more expensive. But the property is great and clean. Our room was very comfortable and clean (Dennis did a great job!!)"
"As Grandparents, we took 3 of our children's families to Mt. Rushmore area and found this to be a great hotel in a great section of town. The kids absolutely loved the slide and pool and the hot tub was great!"
"Parking was difficult because we arrived late and the parking although designated for the hotel was shared by a bar/restaurant next door. Needed to have a way for security to ask guests or the bar to please move their cars for guests of the hotel. Other parking options were across the street. Not helpful if you're disabled. Need more ada rooms."
"Wonderful updated room. VERY comfortable bed with very nice linens. Great location in town walkable to both ends of town. Great location to Mt. Rushmore monument. Morning breakfast was more than expected with great coffee. Thank you for making our experience special. "
