It had been years since our last visit to Lewes, and in the past we stayed only long enough to catch the ferry. It's beautiful and quiet, with hiking trails and wide beaches that are a nice alternative to the crowded beaches further south.

The area has grown quite a bit in the 50 years that we have been going down. Love going to the shops in Lewis and Rehobeth.

I realize it was off season but there wasn't much in the immediate area to do. We traveled to the Rehoboth area during the day to find stores to go shopping.

Love lewes as the quiet beach town it is. Can't beat this for a hotel that is only 2 miles from the beach!
"The Hotel Blue is perfectly located in downtown Lewes for shopping and restaurants but close to the beaches. The suites are clean and very roomy. It was our home away from home. The staff were friendly and helpful. We look foward to staying there again. "
