Excellent
Good location for exploring the Columbia Gorge, Mt Hood and Mt Adams area. The Dalles gets more summer sunshine and hotter days than other areas of the Northwest, so getting a motel room with good, quiet air conditioning is a plus.

We often breeze thru the area on our way home, but will break up the drive just to stay here again! The Dalles and Hood River are wonderful places to visit.

It was easy to find everything since the town was laid out in a straight line basically. The food options were limited.

Trying to get back onto the I82 was a struggle with odd street layouts and poor signage.
"The room was clean and spacious. I liked the set up of the room, 2 sinks room to spread out and a comfortablebed. The stafff was friendly and pleasant. I would definitely refer it to a friend. "
"The staff had the personality of plain instant oatmeal mixed with water. But they were present and got me checked in quickly.
If you have hair that is thicker than a bald man, be prepared for it to take FOREVER to rinse shampoo and conditioner out. But there was plenty of hot water to do so in the trickle that came out.
AC worked beautifully so my room was able to be set at morgue cold in the ridiculously hot outside weather. And the pool looked clean and fabulous!"
"Rooms were so spacious, the bed was comfortable, the staff was so pleasant and the VIEW WAS WONDERFUL!
It is not NEW or MODERN like Hyatt, but it is clean and amazing!!! "
"Great place to stay. Restaurant was really good! Had 3 meals there, and all were delicious and carefully thought out and executed.
My only issue was with the young host at the restaurant one evening, I think her name was Celi. Barely a greeting, barely any eye contact, curt, and short. No grace or sense of hospitality. This position is so important…it is the first experience your guest has with the restaurant, and it was a huge fail.
After dinner, I asked her for a small ziplock bag for ice (for an unhappy knee). Without looking at me she said they didn’t have any plastic bags in the kitchen..!(I’ve worked in kitchens for 40 years, there’s a plastic bag in there somewhere!) Her co worker heard and said “really!?” I’m going to check. The co worker came back with one and even asked if I wanted ice. Now that’s how to do it. So, if you get someone who is welcoming & gracious at the front podium, you’ve got a winning place. "
"While the hotel is under construction, I was relieved that my room was in perfect condition. It was very comfortable and I would absolutely stay again if I were to pass through again. "
