"Having use of a bbq and being able to have a fire pit with kindling and complimentary firewood was the bonus to this site. Very scenic with the creek. Only 15 mins from lake Louise so it close enough to enjoy moraine and Louise lake but far enough fro the chaos of the tourist area. You can book a shuttle from the lodge to the two lakes so you can leave the driving to someone else. Leave your car and not deal with parking issues at lake Louise

"We loved our 3-night stay here in the loft suite and wish we could have stayed longer. Massive and extremely comfortable king size bed. The jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was almost the size of a hot tub with lovely toiletries. Lovely hotel interior and grounds. We had dinner in the Outpost pub which was busy and had a good atmosphere with friendly staff. We did end up on the railway side but didn't find this much of an issue. Most of the trains had gone through by the time we went to bed and there was just a low rumble in the morning when we were already awake. Loved seeing the Rocky Mountaineer go past."
"You stay here for the location: it’s ideal for enjoying the beautiful Emerald Lake and the campus is very charming. The main lodge is well maintained with space for guests to lounge. All of the rooms are in cabins (typically 4 rooms/ cabin) and there was minor smoke odor in the room from the wood-burning fireplace. Otherwise, the rooms are very basic- think mid-level Hampton Inn.
Definitely make a reservation for dinner at the Burgess Dining Room. Excellent food and the best/only option after 7pm.
Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to friends/ relatives. "
