Plenty to do, easy to walk around the whole city or there is a little land train which has an audio guided tour. Also easy to catch the hop on hop off bus which tours the whole island. Public transport to and from the airport was easy on the X4 bus.

So much to see and do, we only touched the surface in 6 days. St Johns Cathedral rivals any of the great churches in Europe. The history of Malta starts 1000 years before the pyramids and the recent 1000 years is an amazing history of conquests.

Valletta was an amazing city full of life. Food options everywhere, happy hours that went all day and many late into the night (bogo mixed drinks). The edge of Valletta also had a major bus hub that took you all over the island and airport.

Good
Very hilly, lots of steep climbs and steps, quite condensed Valletta, with lots of history, but everything close to hand as Valletta is quite small - very reasonably priced for food & drinks.

Valletta is a fantastic city, everything is easily walkable and the views are endless.
"The perfect central location, gave us multiple options for everything. The hotel was superb with wonderful facilities, friendly staff and cleanliness.we were able to pack everything and more into a four day break."
"I had an amazing stay at San Karlu! The location is perfect—just a short walk (less than 10 minutes) from the main bus stop and close to bars, restaurants, and the main square of Veleta.
The staff were incredibly friendly, and I especially want to thank Florianne, who was so helpful with recommendations and guidance on using public transport.
The hotel itself is spotless and offers great amenities. The swimming pool was a highlight—perfect for cooling off in Malta’s heat—and there’s a bar and food service if you feel like lounging by the pool all day.
Breakfast was lovely, and overall, the experience exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!"

Key attractions like St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the lively Republic and Merchant Streets, Grand Harbour, Upper Barrakka Gardens, Triton Fountain, and the Valletta bus terminal are all within walking distance. Popular spots such as Mdina and Marsaxlokk are just a short drive away. The rooftop provides stunning views of the Carmelite Church dome and Fort Manoel. The staff are welcoming, and the hotel is well-maintained and clean."
