Prime location near shops, cafés, and restaurants, and just steps from the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre. We enjoyed early morning walks around Hoan Kiem Lake watching locals exercise, as well as late-night strolls exploring interesting shops and tasting local food. Very comfortable bed. We truly enjoyed our five-day stay at the L'HOTEL du LAC Hanoi!"

"Wonderful staff was so welcoming for our 1 night stay in Hanoi. We were greeted with tea and banana cake! Cocktails and fresh spring rolls at the rooftop bar helped us get settled in. For this price range, the hotel is what you would expect. Beds are comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. It was nice to have a bathtub. 😀 Great area of the old town!!"

"The Chi was a great property right in the Old Quarter so close to restaurants, and coffee shops. Surprisingly quiet as it was busy in Hanoi. Our room had a balcony, spacious bathroom and the included breakfast was awesome!"

The wifi was also quite fast and the staff members were responsive (including accommodating my late check-in since my flight got to Hanoi quite late at night). The location straddling the lake and Old Quarter is great for exploring Hanoi and getting a feel for the city, and the included breakfast also wasn't bad. "This small hotel is owned by a very wonderful Vietnamese woman who works very hard to provide a good, clean room and excellent service. I would highly recommend staying here, especially as the rates are quite affordable, the room I stayed in was large and it is close to many attractions. My room was large and the bed was very comfy. "Staff is nice,but management of hotel is worse. Because, as I arrived at night, no rooms and I stayed at SPA Room with staff. I did book & payed in advance. Also, door lock at bathroom is broken in the dormitory. However what made me feel relieved is that the staff are kind and supportive. "
