"Loved staying here! It was such a beautiful resort! We enjoyed how pristine the place was, complimentary breakfast and all the staff, they were so kind and helpful!"
"Excellent location, very clean and just far enough out of Sorrento to be in a very peaceful location away from the busy Sorrento town. Sorrento is just a short 20min walk downhill, but the hotel does offer a free shuttle in the morning and evening to and from Sorrento. My only comment would be that there should be more shuttles in the evening, as some of the times are a bit spaced apart.
Staff were very friendly, pool was lovely, I would definitely stay here again."
"We came here for our honeymoon and I have nothing but amazing things to say about Grand Hotel Royal! The staff was very friendly & attentive and went above and beyond for our needs. We loved utilizing the pool area and beach to relax on some days, its a very beautiful property where you could see the port/coast of Sorrento! We will definitely be coming back and staying at Grand Hotel Royal!"
"Beautiful hotel, a room with a sea view in a fantastic location.
A drink on the balcony in the evening was a perfect way to finish off an evening in Sorrento!"
"Incredibly well accomodated and spotlessly clean hotel just a block from downtown Sorrento. Could not have been more pleased with our suite and the hotel in general."
"This hotel was amazing!!! The staff was helpful and it's in a perfect location - able to see the water, marina, and a short walk to shopping and food. The pool and beach was nice."
"This is a beautiful hotel and the "beach" area is fantastic. The staff are all very helpful and kind the food is great. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it."

One of the most special boutique hotels we have ever been to - incredibly charming and very beautiful! Antonella and her exquisite dishes are amazing! The team is so friendly and kind. We will definitely return!
This was our first visit to Sorrento. The hotel was beautiful with a great full breakfast. Room was spacious, staff was friendly & the housekeepers sweet. We had dinner twice in the rooftop dinning room overlooking the bay. The sunset was amazing. The waitstaff friendly , the food five star. We also danced to the music which made it very romantic. Lovely place
If I could give this hotel a higher rating, I would. The property and setting are absolutely spectacular. But it doesn't stop there. I have never received such a high quality of service anywhere in the world.
From the minute you get on property the staff make you feel like a king. Views are every bit as amazing as you see on the site.
We came here as part of a trip for my wives 40th birthday and it was truly amazing. With the help of an incredible young man, Luigi, we had flowers and wine...
The Mirmare is a lovely hotel with a unique experience. Firstly, it's in Positano which is gorgeous and has fantastic food. We had called ahead because the town of Positano is a little confusing to get around. The Miramare had a porter flag us down when we got close. The journey to the hotel was amazing as we walked down long flights of steps. We stopped at the front desk while the porter took our luggage ahead. We were greated at the front desk by a very nice young women with a warm smile and...
Absolutely gorgeous grounds. Large elegant lobby and dining rooms with views of Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Our room was not in the main hotel and was too small and lacking amenities. Bathroom was ok. Maybe that's a problem if you book through Hotels.com where the worst rooms are set aside?
After a busy week in Rome for our 15th wedding anniversary, my husband and I escaped via train and ferry to Capri.
As we pulled into port, we called the Excelsior Parco as instructed, and in less than 5 minutes, we were picked up in a private car by our driver that quickly took our bags, opened our doors, and drove us to this beautiful villa. I cannot express how attentive the entire staff was for our stay--the moment we arrived, both villa doors were opened by smiling faces, and we were...
This might be the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff (serving, concierge, bellman, maids - all of them) were the warmest, most sincere and helpful people. It was really a pleasure staying here. The views were lovely, and the room was authentic old Italian - with pretty tiled floors. Even though they didn't know we were bringing a toddler (who generally sleeps with us), they gave us a big two-room suite, where he had his own twin bed. Even though the bed was way too hard for my...
Amazing hotel with excellent views of Amalfi town, Marina, and the Mediterranean sea from the room terrace, breakfast terrace, and roof top pool area. The hotel is conveniently within walking distance to the Marina and main square. All staff was very friendly, and willing to assist us. The room was large, clean, and comfortable with a small terrace which included a table and 2 chairs. The breakfast was delicious and served in a comfortable dining area and include an outside terrace. The coffee,...
We loved this hotel. The staff was amazing! A very service oriented hotel and very accommodating. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle service to Sorrento which makes it extremely easy to get around. The Conceige is very knowledgeable and has wonderful recommendations and advice for restaurants and things to do. If you can, don't miss their rooftop sunset event. The sunset is exceptional from there. A gem on the Amafi Coast.
Great location less than a block from the main plaza. Our room was right next to the elevator and we never heard a sound. Only a few blocks to the train station and bus stops. Many great restaurants nearby. Best breakfast buffet in our whole 26 days in Italy. Left a jacket and they had it sent to our next hotel on Capri for a minimal charge.
This hotel was above and beyond... from the second we walked in, the staff ensured we felt like we are on vacation. They assisted us with as many things as possible. We were so grateful for the shuttle service into town and beach. Beyond! Highly recommend. Staff very helpful and friendly. Jenny & Steve S.
This is a hidden gem. We were reluctant to stay here because it had a 3-star rating, but the choices of other hotels went away as the weekend closed in on us (last minute trip), so we decided to stay here. We arrived at the hotel and my first thought was hoping the room views were half as nice as the parking garage view (beautiful water and coastline view). We arrived at the reception floor and were greeted by a really cool cave-like tunnel that lead to the reception area. There we were...
I absolutely love this hotel. Have stayed there several times and wouldn’t think about staying anywhere else. The location is so convenient to the square and right in the middle of al the activity. The rooms are beautiful and breakfast is always delicious. Mario does a wonderful job making sure everyone has anything they want for breakfast.
As many other reviewers mentioned, it's a great hotel for the money. The hotel is run by Antonio and Paulo (father and son) who speak very good English and are very helpful with recommendations.
Breakfast: a good choice of fruits, meat cuts, cheese, cereal, coffee, etc.
Rooms: Good size. Modest, but have everything you need
Location: Quiet street. About 5-10 minwalk from S. Agnello station (next to last train stop). About 15-20 min walk from Sorrento city center
Warning: Google maps hotel...
I would like to sincerely thank the D’Amalfi Hospitality Team for making my stay so comfortable and enjoyable! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and well taken care of.
The room was fresh, clean, and beautifully maintained—a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and it truly felt like a home away from home.
Thank you again for a wonderful stay—I would definitely return and highly recommend D’Amalfi to anyone visiting the area!
Me and my friend Katie stayed here for a week in positano in the beginning of April. We're college students that go to ODU in Virginia and booked through Expedia because it included our transportation to and from our flight, our hotel, etc. we LOVED IT. We were completely obsessed with our hotel. Our room had a balcony attatched that had an AMAZING view of positano. It is in a GREAT area I ALWAYS felt so safe which was a main concern as well. The customer service couldn't have been better. I...
The hotel has a picturesque view of the Bay of Sorrento, sitting up higher on one end just a short walk from the best restaraunts. If possible request a room on the 1100 piano (floor). The view from there overlooks the pools and the bay. Stunning. This year we stayed on the 5th piano (floor) and the photos of from this year.
Really good place between Positano and Praiano!!! Nice area to hang out with a nice swimming pool and our room was perfect with jacuzzi in our bathroom and a balcony with a perfect view of Positano and Praiano.
