"This was a basic room but very clean and the staff was very friendly. We had accidentally booked a smoking room but the staff immediately caught that and asked if we needed to switch. The National Military Park was just minutes away as well as downtown Vicksburg and grocery stores. "

"Staff was a little cold at check in, but quickly warmed up. The room, Wm Faulkner was small but well furnished, clean, good beds and welcoming. The bath is very modern, large and especially nice. Breakfast the next morning was very enjoyable especially meeting other guests. The mansion tour afterward was slow, long and we eventually ducked out. It isn't a walk-able area but a short drive to Washington street had a selection of good restaurants. Outside of that street the city isn't...

"This is the most improved hotel in Vicksburg..Motel 6 spent 44 renovating the hotel in a standard Studio series. With hardwood floors and a kitchen sink in room, It has become a good place if you need an extended stay while working in Vicksburg..with Corp, Port or ERDC,,Waterways.."

"Its location for historic downtown vicksburg was great. Was close to historic cemetary and battlefield and museums. Right on port, i have a 3 year old, he loved hearing and seeing the train pass by, and seeing the riverboats docked. Not related to hotel, but i love to walk, Vicksburg is super hilly...bring your walking shoes...you may get sore."
