"Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We didn’t use the athletic facility across the parking lot. Small things were missing from the hotel room, like tissues. Dinner was overpriced for the quality. Still, we’re glad we stayed here."

"We stayed with two kids. Room was great. Spacious and clean. Bathroom was very modern and clean. Great location and everything was walkable. We didn’t try the restaurant downstairs but it looked very good. Parking for free across the street from 4pm to 10am, and then in the harbor if you need to park free during the day. Lots of things to do in Akureyri - we went whale watching"

"The hotel is on an isolated hill with a large view of the surrounding area. Myvatn lake is visible in the distance. The restaurant was excellent. The chef has done some very creative things with with his dishes and his adaptable to eating restrictions. Overall, the only challenge is the midges which is very common in myvatn"

"We stayed in the upstairs room which was spacious and supremely comfortable. It had an amazing view of the waterfall from the windows. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both excellent. All staff were incredibly friendly. Highly recommend this special place."
