"Great stay on our trip to Madrid. The location is great because it has many great things that are walkable. It is right in front of Grand Via. Amazing dinner options as well. Rooms were amazingly clean and a big breakfast with many different options. Staff members were quick to answer all of our questions, and they were always polite and friendly. "Perfect location from which to explore Madrid! Walking distance to everything important (stores, restaurants, and transpo) One block from Puerta Del Sol plaza and 2 blocks from Plaza Mayor! Would stay there again next time! Tho its a no frills hostel, its the perfect place to crash and sleep and do nothing else, so dont expect any luxuries. But You wont find a better location anywhere in Madrid!! "

"Loved staying in Hostal Centro Sol!! Location was perfect—right near city center and major sightseeing locations all in walking distance. Owners were very nice and welcoming and even let me check in early which I really appreciate. Room was charming and comfortable, and even had balcony view. Very well priced, especially for solo traveler. Highly recommend if you are coming to Madrid!!"

"Great location, centrally located, able to walk to Retiro Park, Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Reina Sofia Museum. Located off Gran Via. Lots of places to eat in the area. Staff were excellent in helping us as first time visitors to Spain with limited Spanish skills. I would recommend breakfast at the hotel; it had a wide variety of choices. The rooms were clean."
