Skip it and head to one of the outlier beaches, like Victory, which is much calmer with great food stalls lining it. If you want to get away from the seediness of Serendipity beach in Sihanoukville, Otres beach is the way to go. We had a big group there and for most of the trip had the beach to ourselves. Note: don't walk alone at night between Otres 1 and 2, I learned this the hard way and got mugged. #golden hour
