We loved everything about this hotel and we are so happy we chose to stay here. The hotel was very clean; we would come in and our room would smell and look amazing. The food options at the restaurant were excellent (we tried all the local dishes and local juices/milkshakes). Victor, manager at hotel, was so kind upon check in. I had a long journey to San Jose and another one the next day. He did everything to make me comfortable and welcome. The garden in the back is so inviting and lush. I felt safe and cared for.
The next morning I was taken to the airport for my next flight. This hotel is only about 2 miles from the airport and has free to shuttle the morning after stay, although my taxi to hotel from airport was only a couple of USD.

I gave this hotel a 5 star rating because the owner was unbelievably helpful and friendly. First, he personally drove us to a place to get take out for dinner. We had to get up at 3:30 am for our flight. He gave us plates, glasses, silverware. He sat down with us and shared a bunch of stories. Then he made arrangements for our transportation to the airport.
Going to CR by myself; the staff at Gardens House were awesome. They treated me and those I met that also stayed there very well. I will def return to this place when I come back.
We absolutely loved our stay at Serenity Ecolodge. The owner, Cindy, was incredibly attentive and made sure everything was perfect. The breakfast was delicious, and the lodge is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery. It was truly an unforgettable vacation.
I was a little worried during the taxi ride to the hotel that I had made a terrible mistake in picking the hotel as some of the areas look a little rough (by American standards), however, once at the gated hotel I realized that I indeed had made a good choice when choosing the location as the property is incredibly calming and beautiful. Just know that since you are out of the city you will need to use Uber eat or a taxi to get food as there is no onsite restaurant.

Great customer service, even booked a shuttle for the next day (same price as if I did it myself). Airport pickup, reception, check-in, breakfast, local directions, and the room were all excellent. They even drove us to a nearby restaurant. The only drawback was that Room #1 was in the hallway, so be aware that noises in the hallway and bedroom transmit easily.
