"Clean room, nice staff, loved the swimming pool. I’m a big walker and I thought it was within walking distance of Huacachina oasis area. And I suppose it is. But it’s an uphill gravel road and not nice to walk in, especially in the heat or at night. Tuk tuk cost 5 - 6 soles. Hotel is very quiet, but not much around here."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Huacachina. It was very conveniently located close to board/ski rental, dining and our bus stop, making it easy to arrive and depart. The hotel featured a nice pool where we could relax after a day of exploring, which was a great way to unwind. The breakfast was also good, providing a nice start to our mornings. "It is at the end of a U shaped pathway around the oasis with a great view on the pool side of the dunes. Very close to restaurants and other fun places around like banana bar. At the same time, its quiet despite the music nearby all night. Nice rooms and the make good trip reccomendations. Definitely safe."

From super clean rooms with fresh smelling sheets/pillows, a fan in the room which helps with some relief from the desert heat, the food from the restaurant is a fair price and absolutely delicious! We had more than one excellent conversation with Eduardo about local history, spirituality, and about our home country Canada 🇨🇦 I absolutely recommend renting the gear to try your hand at sandboarding if you are able as it is a beyond exhilarating...

"Matryoahka was a convenient and easy place to stay in Ica. The rooms were a decent size, and the bathrooms were new and clean. The staff were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to check in early after arriving on an overnight bus. It's not super close to the centre, but it is on the way to Huacachina, so for us that was more of a benefit."
