This was our second stay at Open Hearth and honestly, I don't think I will ever stay anywhere else. From the owners being more than accommodating (WIFI wasn't working in our room, it was fixed in 5 minutes), to the overall staff friendlyness, to the clean room and amazing breakfast (ok, lets talk about that pancake machine - AMAZING!!) This was a great experience. Bed was a little hard for my liking, but can't win everything.... and everything else was PERFECT!
Our third visit to Gordon Lodge over the years and it doesn't disappoint. Well located in Door County so all kinds of other sights and activities are readily available.
We enjoyed our stay here. The friendly owners enhanced our vacation. They showed an interest in our enjoyment of Door Co. The room was very clean. The clean swimming pool and hot tub were an added bonus.

Wonderful resort with access to a small private beach and nice balconies with view and lovely flowers. The room was clean, beds comfortable, and we received cold water in the frig as well as microwave popcorn. We enjoyed both. Extremely clean - helpful staff, very friendly-my only recommendation, next time any updates are done, invest in comfort height toilets. Older people with bad knees would appreciate.
It's right in front of the beautiful lakefront. The cars at night are a little loud because it's RIGHT by the street BUT very few drive by at night. The rooms are gorgeous and the staff is VERY knowledgeable and friendly! It's within walking distance of a lot of activities and restaurants too!
Right off the main highway but tucked away so it feels like a retreat. Very friendly staff, wonderful hot tub & bon fire area. Can’t wait to return!!!!

We have been staying at the Waterbury for years! It's one of the best places to stay in Door County in the summer because it is in the heart of the action! We love the outdoor pool and picnic areas! Such a great place for a family. We have space to spread out and we feel at home here! The staff is beyond friendly and kind. For instance, we are not coffee drinkers and I left a note by the keurig type machine requesting 2 teas for the 2nd night of our stay (we only had 1 tea and 5 coffees)...
The hotel is very clean and updated, and offers very reasonable rates. We had a deluxe lodge room: 2 queen beds (we used only one), a mini fridge, microwave, flat screen TV. We were in nearly the last room on the ground floor, with beautiful trees changing color all around us. We are both hand-stitchers, so once we took the plastic outside chairs inside, the room was perfect for us, and well lit.
