From the restaurant serving Scottish dishes, to the Quaich Bar with its outstanding selection of whiskeys, our stay here was incredible and memorable. The rooms are well appointed and clean, and staff were beyond welcoming. A perfect spot for day trips to the nearby distilleries."

"This was a nice hotel and the lady that checked us in was very pleasant, Room was great, very large, with a large bed and a sofa as well as kitchen facilities, although we could have done with a frying pan! Breakfast is quite early with last orders at 8.45am, so we missed it the first morning, and the second morning was very slow with my breakfast arriving at 9.15am, when we were seated at 8.30am and my partner had already finished his. The staff member did keep us updated and apologised, but given that there was hardly anyone else there, I'm not sure why it took so long. Hotel is in a nice, quiet location with plenty of parking. I would stay again."

Lovely view of sea from room and if not then only ten paces and at sea wall so you can hear it and feel near it. Not much going on in town but just very calm and quaint and authentic so not over touristy, which is perfect. Ideal base for exploring region."

"What a contrast to my last hotel (Balmoral Lodge, Southport ). St Michael's was everything I want from a B&B and more. Beautiful vintage furniture, period features, immaculately clean, lovely owner, great atmosphere. Loved it and the presence of a coffee machine, a fridge and a balcony (looking over the garden) made this a great experience. . I was slightly worried about possible noise from the main road, but, even sitting on the balcony, it was surprisingly quiet. My only issue was the very enthusiastic dawn chorus, lol, but there are far worse ways to be woken up. I would love to stay again."
