The town is nice. The restaurants are a bit expensive but it's a tourist town so expected. There are some nice pubs and you're in the countryside after a 15 minute walk with amazing sea and inland views.

"Our stay at the Ship in Dock Inn was absolutely perfect! The room was excellent, spotlessly clean, well-equipped with all the amenities, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of everything. The staff were amazing, extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our visit. The bed and pillows were wonderfully comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was exceptional, freshly prepared, and delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, highly recommended!"
"Beautiful house and hospitable owners. Everything we needed for a relaxing break, comfy bed, good shower delicious breakfast and many small unexpected touches too -such as fresh milk and chilled water in a mini fridge. Andrew and Martin were wonderful hosts, always happy to suggest restaurants and advise on the best routes to take to get to them. ..... not easy on the narrow Devon lanes!"
"It was only a short break but we found the staff very friendly and nothing was to much trouble and the owners Alex and Myles were also very pleasant and also nothing was to much trouble the food was exceptional that the chef prepared would definitely return "
"Main drawback was parking which was some distance so no quick access to car for forgotten items. To be fair, proprietor provided a free personal taxi service on arrival and departure. Breakfast a bit quirky. "
