Lyndhurst is a lovely place to visit, loads of cafes, bars and restaurants and local independent shops in the village. Hotel was in a good location at the edge of the village and right opposite the New Forest, which is great for dog walks.

There are a few nice shops in Lyndhurst and a pleasant National Trust shop in the town car park. We prefer Lymington to be honest, where there are more shops. But if shopping isn't your thing, lots of tea rooms in Lyndhurst to enjoy.

Great access to the New Forest, shame about the one-way system and temporary traffic lights leading to congestion & fumes.
