"Lovely hotel, situated in a lovely village with views of Whitby abbey from our window, recently renovated. Bedroom was nice and clean as was bathroom, 2 pillows were provided one hardish the other soft but flatter, could have done with something in between. Evening meal and breakfast were good, well cooked and hot.
Was in a lovely quiet area so very quiet on a night. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Could do with a shower holder in the shower so not bobbing up and down to get things off the shower floor, but that's a minor thing. Had a lovely folk band on in the new extension area.
Would definitely recommend and definitely stay here again.

"Lovely, great, very clean!! Bit of an issue with nosey fighting seagulls at 5am!! but that’s not the hotels fault… scrapping over scraps on the roof all fun of the sea side.. "
"I really liked this, used to live in Whitby so like coming home. The food is excellent apart from Trenchers which was down on last years although the service was good.
My bedroom was superb - beautifully done using all options there for you.
Many thanks for a lovely time. Jane Brown"
"Very clean. comfortable bed, lovely nights sleep, did not hear any noise and would definitely stay again, only thing I would have liked a small fridge. "
