"So close to the airport with a free shuttle! We booked this hotel as a transit hotel because our flight back to Vancouver was early morning and we didn't want to have to rush in the morning to beat traffic. The hotel is huge and I think we stayed in the older east wing. It's definitely a bit dated but still very comfortable. The beds were great and the room was very clean. The staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly. The hotel has a few dining options and you do get discount coupons for breakfast and dinner if you decide to dine at the hotel's restaurant. There's also a skybar if that's something you're interested in. A FamilyMart is connected to the hotel that's open 24 hours so it was very easy for us to grab dinner there instead as well as snacks. They also have a Matsumoto Kiyoshi if you're trying to stock up skincare or cosmetics or whatever else you may need. Directly in front was a souvenir store in case you forgot to grab a couple of souvenirs to take home. We did end up buying a few things from this store so it was really great to have them in the hotel. My favourite part about the hotel though would be the compression machine - this saved us so much space and allowed us to better organize our luggage to ensure we would meet the airline's weight/size restrictions. They also have shuttles running every 30 minutes to Terminals 1 and 2. It's so close to Terminal 3, you can literally just walk there (about 7mins). 10/10 would recommend Tobu Narita!"
Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport - Directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3
10/10 Excellent
"I love that this hotel is right at terminal 3. It's very convenient, I don't have to drag my luggage onto the train to get to the hotel. I arrived the airport, check in left my luggage at the hotel and went out exploring the city. There was also no rush to get to the airport for departing flight. I just walked 5 minutes to the check in.
The hotel room was clean. I was skeptical about the bath tub in the beginning, coz I wanted to take a rest in the tub. It turned out the tub was clean. I can soak myself in it.
I didn't have a chance to try the onsen though. I was too tired that I just wanted to stayed in my room.
The other pro is, this hotel has Lawson at the entrance. I didn't have to wander around at night to find food. I just stocked up the food from Lawson and warmed them with the hotel's microwave. Peaceful rest with food and drinks.
Staffs were super nice as well, the house keepers, the check-in and check-out staffs were all helpful."
"The overall experience was good, but, we had to upgrade to a bigger room as the standard one was too small for 3 people. The location was very convenient. I would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Osaka."
"The hotel is in a convenient area of Shinjuku with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. However, the room was quite small, making it difficult to fully open large luggage. The room also felt a bit dated, and the portable AC unit wasn't powerful enough to keep the room comfortably cool. While the location is good, it's not quite as close to the train station as we expected, so be prepared for a 15-20 minutes walk. Overall, it was a good stay for the price and location."
"We booked a last‑minute stay at this hotel after a typhoon disrupted our original plans, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We reserved two triple rooms; the beds are twin‑size by American standards, so each room comfortably fits three people.
After checking in, we stopped by the bar for drinks and food, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The hotel’s amenities and overall design were outstanding—modern, convenient, and thoughtfully laid out. It’s also in a great location: close to Namba Station and the JR line, and about a 12‑minute walk to the Dotonbori area.
Our rooms had incredible views, and even though we could hear the storm winds outside, the comfort of the hotel made it easy to relax. There’s a 7‑Eleven inside the building, which was extremely convenient.
The hot tub and pool are located on the top floor, though there is an additional fee to use them. The onsen is free, but note that it follows traditional Japanese customs—no swimsuits allowed—so be prepared if you’re not familiar with onsen etiquette.
Checkout is at 10 a.m., and the hotel offers free luggage storage. A tip: the line for luggage storage starts forming around 9 a.m., and many guests wait until right at 10 to drop their bags, so plan accordingly.
Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice for business travelers, solo visitors, couples, and families. Highly recommended."
