Hotel Riu Palace Bavaro - All Inclusive

"Overall, we had a great vacation. We had requested a king bedroom but were given a double queen instead. When we arrived, the TV in the room showed another woman’s full name, and only during the last two days did it change to my name. This made me think that the rooms may have been switched and that we were given someone else’s room while the king room we requested was assigned to her.
Aside from that, the staff was wonderful and very welcoming. The room was clean, and housekeeping came every day. The food was amazing as well. We spent most of our time at the main pool; in the mornings it was clean, but during the day it tended to get quite dirty.
The wifi has a pretty bad connection!!!!!
The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because of the room situation. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

"The place itself was clean and tidy. The ocean was right outside, but a lot of seaweed. The drinks were ok. The one issue we had was the food. The food was extremely mediocre and made us sick. Also, half of the property is closed off to people that aren’t premium members which we felt was disappointing. "
"Maids were very kind and helpful, alongside the mini bar refillers. Really recommend the suite over the normal rooms, was very spacious and luxurious. Pools were clean, plenty of activities to go around. Would absolutely recommend for anyone! 10/10 experience!! We riu loved it "
