"Clean room, close to the arena"

"I had an absolutely dreadful night’s sleep here and would not stay again. The hotel is in a city centre location in Cardiff, so some level of noise on a Saturday night is to be expected, people outside shouting, drunk, the usual. However, the windows did nothing to block out the noise. It genuinely felt like they weren’t there at all, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel in such a busy area. It didn’t stop there. Every time someone in the corridor closed their door, it slammed with a loud bang that actually shook the walls. It was constant and impossible to ignore. Just as I finally managed to fall asleep, I was woken up at around 2am by a couple in the next room having a loud, drunken argument. I called reception, but nothing was done, no intervention, no attempt to quieten them down, not even a knock on their door. Completely useless response. The walls are clearly paper thin, because we could hear everything. The same couple then woke us again at around 8am, continuing their argument which had apparently been going on since 4am. If you value sleep at all, avoid this place."
