"The staff is so kind and amazing and the gift shop is filled with so really cute souvenirs. I was staying in the bridal caboose and was disappointed by the state it was in. There was dust all long the wood work behind the whirlpool tub and the high points of the ceiling. Not just a little dust but enough you could tell it had been accumulating over a significant period of time. There was a water damage on the ceiling where the flat part of the caboose roof met the dome the roof directly over the bed. The breadboard was bubbling out in areas from moisture damage. I was so excited to stay on my trip to Lancaster and was broken hearted when I saw the state of my room. I liked the setting enough that I would give the place one more try, but I would definitely pick another caboose."

"The hotel was pretty up to date decor wise. The room was clean and functional. The lobby had 24/7 coffee and tea and had a complimentary continental breakfast, the offerings were fewer than what is typical. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. "

"I have stayed in many hotels over the years and can honestly say I have never encountered such a combination of basic failures in accommodations and service.First and most concerning, our room had no functioning heat, leaving the room uncomfortably cold throughout the night. During the evening, my daughter became sick, which is when I discovered that there was also no hot water in the room. We ran the shower for over 30 minutes attempting to get hot water, but it never warmed up. As a result, no one in the room was able to shower. A hotel without heat and hot water is simply unacceptable.Additionally, the refrigerator in our room barely functioned. It was hardly cold at all, and the drinks we placed inside remained warm. Between the lack of heat, lack of hot water, and a refrigerator that did not work properly, the room simply did not meet even the most basic standards expected from a hotel stay.On top of that, the ice machine on our floor was broken, forcing us to go from floor to floor searching for a working machine. This added even more inconvenience to an already frustrating stay. The situation worsened the following morning when housekeeping began banging on our door nearly two hours before our scheduled checkout time. This was extremely disruptive and unprofessional. My daughter, who had been up sick all night, had finally fallen asleep and was abruptly woken up by the noise. I was shocked that staff would disturb guests so early, especially when checkout time is track"
