"We had a lovely stay at the hotel, staff were lovely and let us check in early as we had a wedding. The bed was comfortable, large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Tea, kettle and biscuits provided and breakfast was delivered to our room at a time suitable to us. We would definitely recommend and will return in the future should we need too. Slightly noisy with being on the road but nothing can really be done to help that."

"Had a one night stay whilst visiting friends near Ripon. The hotel was easy to find and check-in was very straightforward. Our room was very well presented and modern. Very comfortable bed and plenty of tea and coffee with complementary biscuits. Bathroom was clean, ample towels and hand-wash, conditioner and shower gels were higher-end than you would expect. Room overlooked the sizable gardens which were well kept. Evening meal was excellent from a good choice of dishes. Good choice of beers too. I must compliment the staff who were always cheerful and efficient, from the cleaning ladies in the rooms to the bar and waiting staff. Nothing was too much trouble which was noticeable and such a pleasant change from other hotels we have visited. The decor was also excellent. Made the stay feel very comfortable and relaxing. Well done to all - we will be more than happy to come back."

"The hotel is set in lovely grounds and the view from the breakfast room was delightful. Breakfast was a normal hotel spread and well set out. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the room was clean though very dark because I was on the wooded side of the building. The big let down was the state of the windows which must have been neglected for years and had to be propped open with a block of wood left on the window sill. General decoration was in need of a refurb and the main entrance doorway was in need of repainting. I assume the whole building is due an update and I'm sure it will all be lovely next time I book in."
