"This hotel is what it is. The most inexpensive place I could find in a somewhat decent neighborhood. The plus side is the close proximity to the BART station at 16th and Mission. Easy walk to the Judah line. Great coffee shop half a block north on Valencia. The place has character and is old school. Not a place to hang out and chill, but worked well as a place to sleep. "

"The staff was amazing. So friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean but some stains on the carpet. Parking garage was good, but issues with the parking tickets working to leave hotel. Would stay again because of the location downtown"

"Parking was a bit of an issue, but manageable. Staff was excellent, both at the front desk and throughout the hotel. Don't miss the outdoor garden with the heated seats/bench, a lovely spot. The proximity to so many of the things which make SF special was amazing. Shopping, eats, bars (The Page and Gigis both stand out), Golden Gate Park, the fun SF vibe all made the trip and stay memorable. We'll be back to stay at the Metro! "

"Clean and comfortable rooms. Common kitchen, bathrooms and showers were all clean and well stocked. Easy access to transit and walking to Castro/mission. Only downside was the intensity or drug use and human struggle taking place outside and on surrounding blocks. "

"Hotel Garrett was a great find when we came into the City for a Giants game. It is in close proximity to the stadium (we walked to the stadium from the hotel) and lots of restaurants along the way! The staff were awesome; the room was clean and the bed sooo comfortable! We will definitely be back to Hotel Garrett anytime we come back to SF!"

"It wasnt bad to be honest. Its middle heart of Mission district. I easily walk to my destinations, including bus stops. Dolares Park right there by 15 mins walk. Sf makes me work out than my own home in Los Angeles. But we need to be careful when walking outside is thay all. "
