I have said the area is walkable because the roads back from the beaches are steep, so great if you like keeping fit. The beaches are amazing and you can walk all along the coast to Albufeira old town.

My advice is to simply stay away from the center. It's just a place for drunk tourists. Enjoy the beaches and more tranquil areas. I would stay at least a kilometer away from the center.

Quieter in March but that was probably a good thing to get to explore a bit more in peace than if it was the height of summer. Lovely area and a stunning coast line.

"Our stay at Kimpton Atlântico Algarve was incredible. Our room looked brand new and the garden view was stunning. The staff were very accommodating and the service was amazing. The amenities this hotel offered were incredible as well. If you are looking for a relaxing 5 star hotel holiday, this is the right place. We would definitely come back! "
"Fabulous. Very safe area and the locals are friendly. The hotel itself is super clean, the staff is attentive, and the accommodations are nice.
We stayed in August so the room was a bit hotter than I would have liked, but not uncomfortably hot. "
"Five star property geared towards adults, lives up to its reputation of cleanliness, comfort, and luxury. The grounds are beautifully maintained and well landscaped. There are 6 outdoor swimming pools with an abundance of lounge chairs, umbrellas and daybeds- no need to reserve. Beach access with a lovely boardwalk from the hotel to the beach. The hotel has been renovated and is exceptionally clean. The only improvement would be the restaurant service. Though the food was very good, the service was extremely slow and unorganized. I would highly recommend. Lovely friendly staff. "
