"The resort is surrounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful - perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. The owner was very kind and even offered to pick me up and drop me off at the station, and he also took me to visit the old town, Narai-juku. "Easy to park. Wife would give it 4 stars. 6 yr old would give 5 stars for the rock climbing wall. No lift for 2nd floor rooms and would have life more space to open suitcases but overall nice place to stay."

"This is a little gem of a place! Takeru-san is a wonderful and kind host. The space is warm and welcoming, clean and bright. Our Japanese style triple room was peaceful and so comfortable. The shower is great. We met other travelers in the common area. I think this might have been my favorite stay in Japan. I would come back here just to stay at Couch Potato 😀. "Really close to the train station and actually inside a shopping centre, the common area is tidy and there are good laundry facilities. The bed in our private room was comfortable, it was a great no frills experience."

"consistently great Dormy Inn, great amenities like free ramen at 930 pm plus ice cream and yorgurt drink kept us coming back again and again. The room is clean and comfortable, wifi is super fast and breakfast was healthy and delicious. Our trip to Japan will always include a stay at Dormy Inn."
