"This is definitely a no-frills hotel but for its price was perfect, especially as a solo traveler. Had I not been solo traveling the room might have been a little small, especially the bathroom, but for just me it was a perfect home base for traveling around Tokyo and to surrounding areas. "We were so close to Sky Tree, which made it very convenient for shopping, restaurants and train access. Check in and check out was super easy. The hosts communicated well. I also needed a very last minute late check out which they accommodated for a small fee. I was so grateful. I loved the chordless iron! The premises itself is fit for purpose, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Drying washing took some creativity…but with four adults we kept on top of it. "

"Keep in mind this property is in a residential area just outside the Tokyo subway system. So you have to pay an extra 150 yen on the private rail line. On the plus side the Skytree tower is a 15 minute walk away. Also the food options in the area are affordable "

"The property is very close to the landmark Skytree and there's several great shopping malls for groceries supply and some nice fashion brand. Transportation nearby is convenient. We enjoyed the cleanliness and the facilities in this property. The apartment is nicely decorated. Muffle noises from upstairs and next door in mid night is a bit disturbing due to the thin wall separation. And there's quite a heavy drain smell coming out from the washing machine corner. "

"This was the second Mimaru we stayed in on this trip. The first was in Kyoto. Mimaru staff is excellent and have a strong command of English in addition to Japanese. They are extremely helpful in everything from calling a taxi (and recommending what size taxi will be needed); to train tickets (helpful to know to go to the correct station!); to advising on mailing packages (offered to accompany me if the desk was not busy).
