This property was simply wonderful. The owners were kind and helpful, the room was gorgeous, the location was close to everything you want to see in Newquay and transport, and the breakfast was excellent. Seriously. Stay here. ❤️

If you are interested in exploring Cornwall, this is a great location to do it from you are a short distance from the north and south coasts as well as the western end of the country. You have access to very good roads. On top of that, you will find yourself in a well appointed room being helped be an excellent staff. We’re vegetarians and we found very good meals.

Excellent room with AC included

This apartment was impeccable. The owners have an excellent process for everything and spell it out clearly. I especially appreciated their prompt response to a couple queries on the front end. The location is ideal for checking out Newquay and points beyond. This was the perfect spot for us!

A beautiful property. Just a short walk from town. Excellent restaurant. We enjoyed breakfast with our room and did stay for dinner 2 nights as the food was fabulous. Service was perfect - attentive and friendly. Thank you Alverton. Next time in Truro, we will make the Alverton our base.

For our 4 nights in Cornwall we stayed at a very quaint Bed and Breakfast in Truro. Centrally located, it was a great place to stay and "wagon wheel" our day trips. From there, relatively speaking (by Texas standards) you can easily drive to many towns, fishing villages, beaches and other sites. Absolutely fantastic!

Margaret and Owen were very gracious hosts. The breakfast was wonderful. The location of the hotel is very close to the beach and the central shopping area. Our room was beautifully decorated and had an outstanding view of the water. Owen recommended a couple of local restaurants that we really enjoyed. The hospitality was above and beyond our expectations!

Amazing hotel, quality of the room was exceptional, we ate in the Chapel restaurant and found the food to be lovely. Would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel. Sadly we saw no ghosts.

The hotel was perfect, our room clean and kept nice over our stay. The breakfast was unbelievable, so much choice. All very tasty and fresh, so very pleasing to the eye and the stomach. This is not an old or beautiful hotel, but its location at the edge of town means a 10min walk to the station, 25min into town centre (uphill returning!), and lovely rural views from the beer garden, or from your room if the large windows face in that direction. Clean room - Good food - Good quality-price

We chose the Bedruthan for a long weekend get together with our large family. It turned out to be a very enjoyable stay. The kids took surfing lessons and loved the waves. Mum had a massage and facial at the spa. The staff were genuinely friendly and went to great lengths to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We had an enjoyable 5-night stay at the Port Gaverne Hotel. The service was excellent and the food was very good. We enjoyed the variety of offerings at breakfast and the Sunday Roast. This is not "pub food." This is an old hotel and be advised that the rooms are small and up steep stairs, although the staff helped with luggage.
