The hotel itself was lovely and felt opulent and quite grand - until you got into the rooms. We paid quite a lot of money for what was described as a Superior Double and were told we had been upgraded to a honeymoon suite as it was my wife's birthday. Sadly the first room was awful with paint coming off the walls and no bulbs in the ceiling (the wires were actually hanging down and exposed). We complained and were offered the room next door, which was bigger and seemed better, but we soon realised the furnishings were very poor quality and way past their best. The bathroom was superb but was completely out of sync with the rest of the room. The balcony was out of bounds too as it was unsafe! This was a big room but was most definitely not of a standard that merits the title of honeymoon suite.

Just stayed for one night. The hotel certainly has the wow factor and such a fabulous ballroom where the function I attended was held. My room was clean and the view of the sea from the window was awesome. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. Sometimes the lift wasn’t working but that seemed to be resolved fairly quickly. All in all a lovely stay.

Beautiful room with fabulous view. The staff were very helpful. I had not been told the restaurant was closed and the receptionist couldn’t have done more to organise a takeaway for me. I was very disappointed as had read there was an award winning restaurant and that was part of the reason I booked as I did not want to go out in the evening.
