"The hotel was pretty nice, the Wave restaurant in particular was awesome. The indoor pool felt a bit dated, but my kids still enjoyed it. The outdoor pool was super nice and we spent a decent amount of time there. The grounds were very well maintained and the views of the lake were spectacular of course. The staff was pleasant enough for the most part. We were just a bit disappointed with our room, it felt relatively small and dated, however it wasn't really where we spent most of our time, so it was okay. Overall our time was great and we definitely would recommend the Heidel House, but maybe not at the price point that we decided on. It seems like we would have had a better experience spending a bit more money on the room. I believe we paid the lowest price possible for a room there, and I feel like it showed. Again, it really wasn't bad for the money, I think I just had higher expectations for staying at a "resort" style hotel."

"The breakfast was great with lots of choices. Even a picky eater could find something offered. The pool & Jacuzzi were also well used by us & our granddaughters. The room itself was comfy, clean, & had a microwave & frig & enough room for 4 small suitcases to be opened at the same time. Bathroom toilet paper holder was loose on the mount so probably needs a bit of tightening & the peephole in the door was missing the insert so you could actually see right into the room in tiny hole area so the view was the window. I did let hotel staff know that. Oh, also they have a little area in the lobby with ready the heat meals, snacks, soda & beer (2 for $5) so really this place offered something for everyone. I'd actually give it a 4.5 if I could. Great hotel for the price."
