"A grand old building in an excellent location, close to the railway station and Malioboro Street. And with a swimming pool, perfect for hot afternoons. The rooms were adequate but good value for the price I was paying for. However I did find some dirt on my pillow but I brushed it off. Also Western travellers should be warned that the are traditional Indonesian style bathrooms in the rooms. At least in my room, so a squat toilet with no toilet paper, or flush, and a cold shower. "Broken shower which was never fixed over our 4 night stay dispite telling them. A lot of mould. Incredibly spicy traditional breakfast. It’s only saving grace was that the beds were comfortable even though I did have a single duvet in a double duvet cover.. "
