I didn’t receive any details until standing outside on a rainy day trying to figure out how to call a local phone number, which was eventually answered by someone who only speaks Chinese. "Very good location right in front of Ruifang train station. Perfect to use as a base to explore Jiufen, Pingxi and the surrounding area. A lot of hiking opportunities at your fingertips. The hostel is spotless, cleaner than most hotels we've stayed at in Taiwan! For once the pictures are representative of the location! Sound insulation seemed okay. Couldn't hear anything but the relentless rain. Host was very responsive. If you're into bubble tea there are about 8 or 9 shops within 100m of...

"The hotel had the perfect set up for a very enjoyable stay near Jiufen Old Street. It was like staying in a hidden four star hotel with a modern clean room, free fully stocked mini bar, great view of the ocean, and friendly staff. Very easy to get to, and so conveniently located to explore the lantern alleys at night when the tourist have all left. We were able to get the full experience of Studio Ghibli' Spirited Away thanks to this hotel."
