The island is beautiful and secluded with a sandy beach and amazing natural surroundings. The cabins are beautifully designed to compliment the natural setting, taking advantage of cool cross breezes and incorporating solar power and hot water. The staff was also phenomenal, as was the food. My friend and I had one perfect night on Chumbe and came back refreshed and relaxed.

Loved our stay at the tempo b&b! The staff was amazing, especially the two men that helped us with our bags to the room. The dining room is right on the beach so you can have your breakfast staring out at the ocean. From our studio room, we were on the top floor and had a nearly 360 degree water view and we were right in the middle of the touristy part of town. The only confusing part is that you check in at the main Tempo Hotel - but they help you get your bags to the b&b which is maybe a two...

In the old Stonetown, very easy to get lost in this old town but we were very close to beach so found it a bit easier to get back to the hotel. Great restaurant on top where we ate on arrival at night and turned out to be the best of all the places we ate afterwards. Beds were comfy, good international TV, bathroom and shower very nice. We had no view at all so understand we should have asked for upper floors but did not spend much time in the room

We absolutely loved our stay. Room was beautiful, the staff was friendly and attentive to all of our needs and the Chef was amazing. The view of the property was beautiful as well. Would highly recommend

This villa hotel is very beautiful and clean. The view of the ocean is lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Got great and fresh fruits from the trees with breakfast. The hotel offers nice tours, transportation, lunch and dinner for a great price. I and my family loved and enjoyed it.

Beautiful clean and modern hotel. Right at the airport. Staff very kind and work hard. Food was delicious but some of the servers could use a little more training but they were very pleasant. Downside is they only provide 1 key card this can be an inconvenience if you’re traveling with someone who remains in the room. Very unique and one of a kind hotel in the middle of stone town. Surely you can settle for comfort and choose Hyatt but you can do that anywhere in the world. Emerson Spice is a truly exceptional hotel with a very attentive staff. You will be wowed!

The mosquitoes were terrible. I recommend that every bed should have a net for mosquitoes/ The restaurant should have more staff with more English knowledge

If you're the type of traveler who eats at McDonald's in other country's, then this property is probably not for you, but if you want to immerse in the local culture, its fantastic. Make sure you specify a bathroom in your room, unless you're ok with sharing, and make sure you arrange for a pickup at the airport for transportation to the hotel. The rooms are great; spacious, clean and well-stocked. Free wireless also made things nice. Our room was on the pool side and the view was still great.
