"They were able to accommodate last minute booking either a very good rate for the size of the room. This place was honestly perfect for 3 of us traveling with 2 dogs in 1 room- spacious really clean very dog friendly though you couldn’t tell there were any dogs prior to us or around the hotel. Antique warehouse is right behind the hotel, train station a minute walk and everything else in easy walking distance. On site restaurant though we didn’t take advantage of while we were there. All in all I’d definitely use this as a regular hotel for Hudson trips."

"Lovely location on Laurel lake. Our balcony was directly over looking the lake. A wonderful spot for morning coffee and a book. Dogs are welcome! Well behaved, of course. A short drive to Lenox, Tanglewood and Stockbridge. Always coming back!"

"The Alander is a charming, well furnished/decorated hotel. We loved the greenery and the flowers surrounding the hotel. It was a peaceful place for a rest after a day of driving. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed the day we stayed as we heard wonderful things about it. Next time!"

"We had to have housecleaning to clean a few things before we brought our luggage in. When my husband put on an overhead fan in the bedroom, all kinds of clumps of dust came down from the fan onto the bed and bureau. There was also about a 1/4' of dust on the fan vent in the living room and a clump of chocolate cake on the outside of the refrigerator! Otherwise, the place was clean."

"Clean, convenient, remotely operated by the owner, the Red Lion, a short distance away. We could use all the amenities offered by the Red Lion (meals, pool, hot tub) while staying at the much more reasonable Little Lion. A great bargain for Stockbridge!"
