10/10 Excellent
"The property is in an ideal location and my room was incredible. I could live in the bathroom! There were all kinds of thoughtful amenities - I used a beach towel to take to the water and enjoy the sun. Everything was clean and in great condition. Staff were very kind and super easy to communicate with. Even though the location is on a "main" street, inside is peaceful and quiet. The lake is literally steps away. Very handy to have a food store right next door. You will honestly not regret staying here."
"The Picton Harbour Inn is a treasure. It has lovely rooms with views of the Harbour and is a short walk to Main Street which features lots of shopping and wonderful restaurants. As it's on the Harbour, you can walk along the boardwalk and enjoy the boats, turtles, swans and ducks. We stayed in the Alexandria Suite which was bright and full of natural light, has 2 bedrooms, roomy livingroom/kitchen area with lots of thoughtful amenities, and a full bathroom with shower/tub. There was even a private courtyard included with an iron table and benches. The Suite was clean, well organized, very quiet and the beds were comfy. The staff was kind, helpful, and easy to find. If you're visiting Picton, this is a first choice for accommodations."
"Great for families. Have a lovely pool, tennis courts, basketball court, private beach, and restaurant on site.
Rooms are a bit dated, but great for families who want to visit sandbanks and dont want to camp.
Would definitely go back."
"We stayed for 2 nights at the end of July. When we arrived the owner came out to greet us and gave us a map and lots of helpful suggestions of places to visit in the area. The room was very thoughtfully designed and constructed; it was beautiful with lots of unique and really cool touches. I loved the half barrel sink (hope to recreate that in my own home one day!). The room has a wine fridge as well.
In the hallway with the suites, there is a Keurig machine for coffee and a water cooler. In the morning they put out breakfast pastries and fruit. There are also extra towels here if you need to replace yours.
The grounds are well maintained and you have access to a fire pit and hot tub if you are so inclined. The fountain and statues are perfect for taking photos. My only complaint about the property is that there is no shade. A few umbrellas would definitely help and maybe start planting some trees to eventually provide extra shade. It was very hot when we were there and unfortunately couldn't really sit outside during the day because there were no shaded areas.
All in all, a beautiful and unique place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone and could stay there again. "
"The Royal Hotel - terrace dinning at lunch was perfect.
The Hartley Tavern - terrace dining for dinner was perfect.
Both sites had quality food the presentation and taste was delicious and amazing. Shout out to the chefs!
All meals are pricy in the town.
The Accoustic Grill - terrace evening live music
Sandbanks were just as we remembered them except how busy it was reservations are a must.
Cribs was clean comfortable and great location for us, internet tv kept cutting in and out watching Netflix at times "
