Hotels in Velky Slavkov

"We booked the hotel through Expedia. I did read the reviews and was very mixed. I had booked a double on suite room for two. On arrival at the hotel my first impression was of a load of empty vodka and beer bottles left on the table benches. They stayed in the same place for the four days we stayed. Nobody attempted to clear them away. The guy at reception spoke some english. He firstly asked me for payment which I showed him my payment receipt. He then said as I had booked a large room and they didn't have one that I can have two!!!! Firstly I just booked a double room. We were given 2 large key rings with a bunch of keys on. We were given a room with two single beds and a double room. The bathroom was along the corridor. Soley for our use but was advised to lock it. The bedding was clean but everything was worn, tired and old fashioned. It s in desperate need of refurbishment. The bathroom was the same. Such odd lay outs. The breakfast was ok. Basic continental breakfast. Not even a toaster. There was a odd smell about the hotel. The best thing about this hotel is the location. 5* for the location. But I have since found far superior hotels in the area within the same price bracket. I did try to find alternative accommodation but unfortunately it was Christmas and the height of the season. So central accommodation was fully booked. Therefore, we had to make the best out of it. We wouldn't return. If you don't mind basic and a central location this is the hotel for you. ."

"Perfect location right on Kupowski Street. Staff were wonderful and extremely friendly and helpful. The room was larger than expected with a large en suite bathroom and balcony. Spotless throughout and serviced daily. Loved my first visit to Poland and will be back to the Sabala very soon."

"The room and spa facilities were absolutely fantastic! It’s a 5 min walk from the train station so easy to get to. There is a great restaurant about 50m away. The rooms are modern but have a chalet/cabin vibe and the views of the mountain were fantastic! We even had a decorated Christmas tree in our room when we arrived which was a great touch. The spa facilities were also brilliant. Sitting out in the hot tub surrounded by the snow was amazing!"
