"The property was in pleasant grounds, in an attractive village. There are a number of b and b rooms in the barn which is now an annex to the main house. The room had a high ceiling so was airy and spacious. The ensuite shower room was too. The bed could be a double or two singles so was large size and we found to be comfortable. There was a continental style breakfast to help yourself to in the dining room which also had a tv. I enjoyed watching the planes coming into land at the airport. These...

Pleasant setting though it was dark when I arrived so didn't really get chance to visit. If you just need a reasonable place to hop when you are in the area it's ideal. I was heading to Warrington and it was really easy from there, likewise Haydock, Liverpool, St Helens etc."

"This is a cool, slightly funky/charming British hotel. Lovely decor, not a cookie-cutter hotel. The staff are absolutely excellent. Exterior doors are a bit funny, with various little signs taped up about how to get in and out, and the layout of my room was unique - clearly a re-purposed space.
