We had a great time at a couple of wineries. Went out to Annie's Orchard and bought some great fresh produce and fruit. We also stopped at Lee's Pecans and got some fresh, excellent pecans.

The downtown area is limited in option for food, but the newer area of town is a couple of miles away. It was like a whole new town.

This is a great wine region. Actually more interesting and more wineries than Sonoita to the west.

If you're in Willcox, you owe it to yourself to take the drive out to the Chiricahua National Monument and then drive out to the overlook. You will be amazed! The round trip, including the drive to the overlook, was 84 miles.

Willcox is a great place to stay when you're exploring the Chiricahua mountains.
"Very friendly and genuine staff, working hard. I was pleasantly surprised at the common areas and restaurant, almost like a full service restaurant, which I was not expecting. This is a tiny mountain top area, not really even a town, and the lodge seems to be presenting the best possible situation, for the limitations of the environment, and the recent difficult history of fires nearby. I would happily enjoy another stay!"
"Very clean and comfortable hotel. Walking distance to Rix's tavern and a wonderful coffee shop next door. The breakfast that came with the room was made to order and very good!"
"I had no idea the charming town of Wilcox even existed until a car breakdown led me there during a car breakdown. What started as an inconvenience turned into a delightful adventure! I found myself staying for a few days, and the warmth and hospitality of the locals wrapped around me like a cozy blanket. The hotel staff pulled out all the stops to ensure I had everything I could possibly need, treating me to the kind of luxury and amenities you'd expect at a five-star resort. If you're looking for a hidden gem to visit, I can't recommend this place enough! In fact, I'm already planning to bring my whole family for our next vacation, because Wilcox has captured my heart!"
