North City
North City offers quiet charm and family-friendly vibes just north of Seattle. Hit up local spots like Regal Cinebarre Mountlake, Sky Zone Trampoline Park, or Highland Ice Arena for fun. The nearby Nile Shrine Golf Course provides a relaxing day out, while practical strip malls meet your everyday needs without downtown prices. Casual dining ranges from Vietnamese pho to cozy family diners, all easier on your wallet than Seattle proper. Extended-stay hotels and budget motels make this a smart base for exploring. Hop on frequent buses along Aurora Avenue to reach downtown Seattle in under 20 minutes, with abundant street parking if you're driving.

Echo Lake
Echo Lake neighborhood offers a peaceful escape with its serene lakeside trails and abundant natural beauty. Spot waterfowl while strolling the 1.2-mile paved loop or enjoy quiet moments on lakeside benches. Beyond the lake, nearby attractions like Nile Shrine Golf Course, Highland Ice Arena, and Sky Zone Trampoline Park provide entertainment options for everyone. This residential area features vacation rentals and bed & breakfasts in a quiet, family-friendly environment. While dining options are limited within the neighborhood, nearby Shoreline commercial districts offer plenty of Pacific Northwest cuisine. A car is recommended for exploring, though the lakeside paths provide excellent walkability for nature lovers.

Meridian Park
Meridian Park is a peaceful slice of Pacific Northwest suburbia where tree-lined streets and well-kept homes create the perfect escape from Seattle's urban energy. The neighborhood park offers walking trails and natural areas where you can breathe in that signature pine-scented air. Morning bird songs and the occasional weekend lawn mower create a soundtrack of everyday suburban life. Getting around requires a car since public transit is limited, but the quiet residential streets are perfect for walking or cycling. You won't find many restaurants or shops within the neighborhood, so plan to venture to nearby Shoreline for dining options. Vacation rentals and bed & breakfasts provide cozy, home-like accommodations with full kitchens and private yards.
Richmond Beach
Richmond Beach offers a slice of Pacific Northwest paradise with its stunning saltwater park where you can stroll driftwood-scattered shores while soaking in Olympic Mountain views. The peaceful residential streets and lush parks create the perfect retreat from Seattle's urban bustle. Beachcombing, tide pooling, and sunset watching are must-do activities in this coastal gem. The dining scene is limited, so plan to drive to nearby Shoreline for more options. Most accommodations are vacation rentals or B&Bs with water views rather than hotels. Getting around is easiest by car, though the quiet streets make for pleasant walking once you've arrived.

Richmond Highlands
Richmond Highlands offers a peaceful escape from Seattle's urban buzz with tree-lined streets and suburban charm. Families love exploring Boeing Creek Park's forested trails and Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, where Puget Sound views steal the show. Shoppers and foodies can find budget-friendly options along Aurora Avenue, while Highland Ice Arena provides cool entertainment for all ages. Most visitors need a car to get around this laid-back neighborhood, but the trade-off is worth it. Affordable motels and vacation rentals make this a smart base for exploring Seattle without breaking the bank. The quiet residential vibe means peaceful nights after busy days of sightseeing.

Learn more about Shoreline
Between Seattle and Snohomish County lies a coastal retreat where eagles soar above Richmond Beach Saltwater Park as seals lounge offshore. The Kruckeberg Botanic Garden showcases rare plants that thrive in this Pacific Northwest microclimate. Take in sweeping Puget Sound views before exploring Boeing Creek Park's forested trails. Catch a performance at the historic Richmond Beach Library or try your hand at ice skating at Highland Ice Arena. Local restaurants serve seafood caught just offshore. While the city offers its own charms, the Space Needle and Pike Place Market in Seattle remain just a short drive away. For nature lovers, add Hamlin Park's woodland paths to the itinerary for a quintessential Northwest experience.

Mayflower Park Hotel
"I left few personal articles that couldn’t recover as you have to report in a website and never get an answer. Things were lost"
Mediterranean Inn
"The property is good and in a good location if your getting set to go on a cruise or see the space needle. Only thing is wish there was more info provided about the rooftop bar, surrounding attractions, and if you plan to use the shuttle, know that it is $10 per person and cash only."
The Boylston Hotel Capitol Hill
"Clean"
Crowne Plaza Seattle - Downtown by IHG
"Great location. Excellent service. Clean and comfortable rooms."
Grand Hyatt Seattle
"This hotel is located perfectly, and the hotel is nice and functional but it is in need of a renovation, however we got the 4 night approx. $750 cheaper that any other hotels in the same area and class, the check in staff were super nice and service oriented, the house keeping great, the valet great - only minor complain were when we check out we were asked how the hotel was, which I replied too exactly as I described above - this didn’t “Karen” like at all (so don’t ask if you don’t want the true)."
The Belltown Inn
"Rooms were small but clean."
Hyatt Regency Seattle
"Nice hotel, clean and quiet. Seems like a good location but we stayed only one night."
citizenM Seattle Pioneer Square
"Hotel is in a great location and easy to get around on foot. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. No complaints"
The Arctic Club Seattle
"We stayed here for a short overnight trip to watch a Mariner's game. The location is great! The station to catch the train to the game is literally across the street. The stadium was just 2 short stops away. VERY comfortable beds and the rooms were BIG. The complimentary breakfast was like going to a sit down restaurant. The Polar Bar is so cozy and their cocktails were very yummy. We will definitely be staying here again when traveling to Downtown Seattle."
