South haven is really charming but could use a couple more upscale restaurants like Taste. Not many good lunch spots. Also, there needs to be a little ferry to chain boat connecting south and north beach!!!

South Haven is a really nice town. We had dinner in town 2 nights, and both places had excellent food. Black River Tavern and The Lodge. Plenty of shopping options as well.

Cute downtown area, but watch where you park. The parking police are quite the sticklers. Restaurants that we ate at (and were popular) were just okay.

Excellent Rock shop downtown. It had an amazing variety of rocks and minerals. Additionally, it had fossils and dinosaur bones. It is an interesting place!

I grew up in South Haven and still have property there. I'm always amazed at how many cars I see in town from different states. Glad people continue to visit and support the local economy.
"GREAT experience! Stayed 3 nights. Incredible views, especially sunset...friendly helpful staff...just a few minutes from town. Older place, but beds were comfortable and everything worked perfectly. We'll be back and next time bring the rest of the family."
"The hotel is everything and more at the price point we paid surprisingly very nice and welcoming. Don’t listen to any negative reviews. Those are unhappy people."
"Older hotel getting updated. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was updated and very clean. When making reservations, only doubles were available. When we checked in I asked if any kings had opened up and we were given a king. Staff was very friendly and helpful."
"The Manor is lovely and so close to public beaches on the lake. It’s very comfortable and had sweet little nooks to sit and read or have a quiet moment. Victoria is a wonderful host and keeps the in spotless and running smoothly all the time! "
