"Hotel was good for sleeping and shower. No onsite restaurant or bar. No amenities. 2 blocks from Michigan Ave so location was great, street was quiet and felt safe. "

"I keep coming back to this hotel because of the location, but honestly it is a disappointment every time. The rooms are dated, the carpets are old and worn, and the elevators are slow. The door to my room was broken, so every time I wanted to leave for food or go to gym, I had to go downstairs, alert the staff, go back up, and wait for security to come and let me in. The process took as much as a half hour every time I wanted to get back in. I stopped leaving my room because of it. I have a Hilton Honors, but it didn't stop me from being charged for Internet. If you are flying in and out of ORD, this is a convenient hotel, but for the money there are so many better options. "

"I’m really glad this is the hotel that I chose when I came to Chicago. It was extremely clean. The staff was extremely friendly right when I booked my hotel and got there they offered me a room with a city view which made my stay even better the rooftop lounge was really beautiful and it was had such gorgeous amazing views when I go back to Chicago this is definitely the hotel. I’ll stay at thank you so much to the Godfrey. "

"Great hotel in a great location Staff are very helpful and accommodating, there were a few problems which they put right fairly quickly. Great bar/restaurant much better than the usual hotel bar. "

"Perfect location for a family trip, the hotel amenities were amazing and the staff was very friendly. We did have an issue with having our room serviced during our stay, after a long day out we came back to it still not being serviced, after asking the front desk they said they would put in the request so we hung out in the atrium for an hour and a half and it still wasn’t done, had to go down to the front desk again and ask which was very frustrating."
