"It was nice to see that the family who ran the hotel took great pride in running it. My room was very clean, the Halls were clean, and everyone was friendly. Two brothers and what I believe to be a sister or cousin. Very nice people. There is some foot traffic that goes by the hotel, but just like any high traffic area, don't make conversation, and there probably won't be a conversation. So I had no problems."
"The staff was friendly and the housekeeper did such a tremendous job and asked if our room was suitable. She then came back around to double check with us that we were please with the room.👍"
"The location of the hotel made it easy for me to get to my meetings. Shopping was nearby - though I didn't have much time for shopping. Food was great. Thank you!"
"It is an older property owned by the state of Kentucky, has not been updated, but it still had a charm. The old doors on each room, it was simple and very clean. Breakfast in the restaurant was fresh and prepared just as requested. So good. My waitress was the sweetest.
I was at my daughter's wedding and the desk clerk called to see if I was still coming because it was so late. She was so welcoming.
I heard some staff talking about how long it had been since they had gotten a raise. I felt so bad for them because each one I met gave their all to make my stay wonderful. They are the heart of the Kenlake and the as representatives of our state. They were a big part of my very restful stay for the mother of a bride. If you love simplicity, beautiful views, a good peaceful walk and friendliness, this is your place. Blessings!!!"
