John Dellenback Dunes Trail is 12.7 mi (20.5 km) from central North Bend, why not stop by during your stay. If you like John Dellenback Dunes Trail, you'll love Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, just a short drive away.
Breathe in the salty ocean air while watching surfers tackle the waves at Bastendorff Beach. Explore the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, where ATV rides and sandboarding provide thrilling coastal adventures.
About 3 minutes from the property is Spinreel Dune Buggy. We did the 2 hour guided tour operating the Polaris RZR Turbo. It was an absolute blast and a very unique experience for someone who has never driven Sand Dunes.

Good
I visited during Thanksgiving weekend, and nearly all businesses were closed by 5:30pm. I do not know if that is due to the holiday, or typical of the location.

North bend is great just small and prices are way to high for the area for hotel/motel rooms.
"Winchester Bay Inn is only a block from the north end of the harbor. Not central, but it is a quieter location. You can see the sky above the ocean from the window (if it is not foggy).
The parking is right outside the lower floor rooms.
The Inn is old, but the rooms are very clean. "
The Star Trek - USS Enterprise Room at the Itty Bitty Inn
10/10 Excellent
"I admit I am nowhere near the dedication level of many serious Star Trek fans, but only because I lack the time to be more wholly devoted to exploring strange new worlds. I discovered The Itty Bitty Inn quite by accident and I am so happy I did. The Star Trek Enterprise Room is a fabulous and fun tribute to a true touchstone of pop culture and science fiction. I love and appreciate every little detail, and I wish I had more time to spend here! If you have any love for Star Trek whatsoever, this is a place you won't want to miss. (Side note: The couple staying next to us invited us to check out their Tiki Room, and it was likewise adorable!) "
