Escondido is bigger than I thought. If you want to shop, dine, a large Westfield mall is about 10-15 minutes away. There are many breweries close by that the San Diego area is famous for. Beach about 30 minutes away (Oceanside). July is pretty warm.

I like Escondido but where the location of the Hyatt is you need to drive, as grocery stores and other shops were around 30 mins away. As we came from the UK we had to uber into many places for groceries.
