We came in the off season for a quiet get away. The beach is amazing! Just a dozen steps and your at the waters edge. Great pools with birds and tiny sea creatures. This is a rock beach. Put on some boots and a rain jacket for this adventure.

Good
Blaine has beautiful views around Birch Bay and Drayton Harbor and from Semiahmoo. In the middle of winter, there weren't a lot of restaurants open during the weekdays.

I wish the stores had been opened more or had longer hours. There wasn't much available the first week of May. But the location is great! Less than 10 minutes to the border.
"This isn't a newer motel, but it was very well-kept and cared-for. The breakfast was great, with lots of choices. I appreciated that they had filtered water available in the lobby! Staff was friendly, and the motel was in a convenient location, close to the University (WWU). "
"The staff was especially welcoming and gracious. Plus they sent a text in advance asking about any special needs or desired. They responded in less than a minute to our requests! "

"We were visiting our college kid! This location is great, near shopping and easy on/off the freeway. Comfortable beds. Only issue, but not an issue is I wanted a king bed but we got Queen. It was no issue for us, but I am sure if I would’ve said something they would have fixed it. Fridge in suite. I pick a new hotel in Bellingham every trip up the last three years, this is our first stay. We will return! Highly recommended going to whatcom falls park! "
"Second stay at thie Oxford. I wish there were more locations. The check-in process is efficient. I am called by name and they have everything prepared when I arrive. We travel with two service dogs and they are welcomed with a bowl and treats. The dog area is woodsy and clean. My boys love being able to run in a safe area. The coffee shop in the building always seems active. Definetely a hotel to try. You will keep returning.
Clean. Professional staff. Welcome our dogs. Comfortable room. Nice shower. Onsite free parking. Quiet.

"A weekend escape to Canada and Birch Bay, Washington, entailed mornings spent on the balcony with coffee, taking in the water vistas and birdlife, and serene evenings witnessing the sunset's splendor. Truly, a destination tailored for unwinding and connecting with nature."
