Cayucos is on of my favorite places on earth. I grew up going there for my summer vacations and as an adult I can still say it's kept all the small beach town charm I loved as a kid. I will always say yes to a visit to Cayucos.

Cayucos is our favorite California beach town. Quiet and peaceful, well maintained, and with a great beach. Several good restaurants and shops. A hidden gem.

Spent a lot of time at the pier/beach. Ordered pizza from Surf City pizza - amazing!! Drove to San Simeon and saw the elephant seals and did the Estero Bluffs trail on way back to Cayucos. Amazing weekend at our central coast.

Cute little beach down without the crowds and pretentiousness of nearby places.
"Best value for your money. We loved the place. Great staff, grilled food every night, free wine and beer for 2 hours every night. Rooms were large and clean. Pets allowed. Pool and hot tub. Was very impressed with the place "
"Harbor House Inn was amazing, I would recommend this place, it’s walking distance to Main Street where there’s food and shopping and not to far off a drive from Morro rock, approximately 2 mins. However this my family and I 3rd time. Clean rooms and dog friendly they even have a cog wash station outside with towel. "
"This was my second stay at this property. Convenient location, welcoming staff and clean property / rooms. The hot breakfast options and happy hour drink / snack were enjoyed. Thank you for a safe and comfortable stay!"
"Loved The cottages definitely will go back. My complaint is the sofa is not comfortable for 2 people. Besides that, I loved it, we'll definitely go back."
"It had always been my dream to stay at the Madonna Inn & it didn't disappoint! Our room was wondering kitschy and garishly colored. After looking extensively at the different themes, we opted for one of the ones with it's own viewing tower. The view was cool from the little tower (though the temperature was not!), the spiral staircase was whimsical, and the light filtering down in the morning was quite lovely. Other noteworthy things:
- the shower pressure was great
- there was a bidet built into the toilet (I was too scared to use it, though)
- the room did smell a bit like cleaning products, which on the one hand is good, but on the other was occasionally overwhelming.
- robes were super soft.
- towels were pretty rough/utilitarian
- bed was ok, but not great.
- overhead lighting was super bright - some way on a dimmer, but not all, and the swimming was inconsistent.
- oddly, the lighting near the bed was controlled near the door, which was inconvenient.
- the hallway outside the rooms was a bit dingy.
- conditioner bottle was missing the internal straw thing that allowed you to pump it.
- there was parking right near our room, which was on the 4th floor.
- down in the main building, the gift shops were full of fun things to look at & buy.
- the restaurants had a lot on offer & delicious steaks.
- the drinks at the bar were pretty heavy pours.
Overall, a really fun experience!
