Went to a game at the Stadium of Light which was great as always! Staying near the beach is really nice, we got lucky with nice weather but it's peaceful down there and lovely for a walk

Souter Light House (NT) and museum is fascinating (closed in winter). Seek out the resident bird ringer Glass museum a couple of miles south along the coast is worth a visit (and open despite storm damage to the building).
