Learn more about Panguitch
Red rock hoodoos stand like sentries around this Old West town where the name 'Panguitch' means 'Big Fish' in Southern Paiute. The historic district's brick buildings tell tales of pioneer grit while modern cafes serve hearty meals to hikers bound for Bryce Canyon. Anglers flock to Panguitch Lake for rainbow trout that inspired the town's name. The annual Quilt Walk Festival commemorates settlers who used quilts to cross snow without sinking. Nearby Red Canyon offers trails through crimson formations without the national park crowds. The restored Gem Theatre screens films in vintage splendor. Dixie National Forest surrounds the town with pine-scented hiking trails and mountain views that explain why 1,700 residents brave high-desert winters.

Bryce Gateway Inn & Cabins
"Cabin was very nice. Very cute. But they need signage big time. Pulled into cabin area near dark. No way to know how to check in. Called phone number and woman answered was no help. Finally a person who also was staying there told me the secret was to go to Roadway hotel next door to check in. Then all was good."
Adobe Desert Boutique Motel
"I was skeptical whether the hotel would be as good as in the pictures, however it turned really nice. We enjoyed sauna, made waffles in the club house & enjoyed breakfast. It beat our expectations. One comment I would make is the key process heads-up upfront would be good since we were a bit confused without the attendant, but overall I would definitely recommend it"
The Golden Spurs
"Very cute theme rooms were clean and the property was well maintained but the ice machine was empty or broken and there was a fire pit but couldn’t seem to locate any wood to burn and enjoy the night. The layout was a little odd with the hidden rooms and booking two rooms together I would expect them next to each other ."
Blue Pine Motel
"This was a sweet little throwback motel (our favorite kind!) for an overnight stay prior to going to Zion."
Two Sunsets Hotel
"Sweet little old style spot, perfect for travelers!"
Marianna Inn Panguitch
"Very nice staff and a cute log-cabin-style property. The room was pretty tiny, but the Wi-Fi was excellent—actually better than mine back home. The location was also very convenient for visiting Bryce Canyon National Park. I especially liked the outdoor seating area in front of each room."
Rodeway Inn Bryce Canyon
"Convenient parking. Hot shower. Comfy bed."
Econo Lodge Panguitch near Bryce Canyon
"Nothing special but good value and felt safe."
Lamplighter Lodge
"The Lamplighter was a good inexpensive place to stay by Bryce Canyon. We booked 4 rooms and everyone said the their rooms were good. Staff was very nice."
