The Tower Hotel, by Thistle
10/10 Excellent
"We had a lovely time at the hotel celebrating our anniversary. Check in was quick and easy, and the staff were very friendly. The suite was lovely and we were given a lovely bottle of Prosecco and some truffle chocolates on our anniversary, which was a lovely surprise! One thing I did hear from other guests was how hot the hotel was on the lower floors, but as we were on the 11th floor, we had air con in the room which was needed, so definitely worth paying more for a suite.
Ideal place to explore that part of London.
Only negative was the fire alarm going off at around mindnight and having to evacuate the building. Once outside, we felt there wasn’t enough communication from the hotel staff as to what was happening.
Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone else. "
"This was our second time staying at the Clermont Victoria. It's a great, central location, easy to get anywhere in the city as three train lines are connected to the hotel. We love the historic feel of the hotel and the wonderful breakfast. Last time we stayed (two years ago) the rooms also included a fully stacked mini bar with soft drinks, beer, wine, and yummy snacks. This time it was scaled way, way back to just two bottles of water and one bag of chips and one bag of popcorn and some old, hard candy that didn't look so good. We missed the mini bar for sure at the end of a long day of touring. Totally understand not including free wine and beer but the soft drinks, juices and better snacks were a really nice touch that we missed :( . That said, we really recommend the hotel if you are looking for a nice home base and plan on touring all over the city. "
"This is my first time staying at your hotel chain. I have now become a loyal member, as a result of our excellent visit . Thank you to all of your staff for making our stay so pleasant!"
